About the presenters:Â Â
Gabriel Pestre: Gabriel Pestre joined Con Edison in 2021 as a senior planning analyst in Commodity Forecasting, where he works on forecasting models for daily electric loads and seasonal weather-adjusted peak demand. As part of the Meter Authority team, he also helps analyze and monitor meter data from the bulk power system. He currently leads a project to automate daily reporting of market settlement data to the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO). He is a member of the Joint Utilities working group on Distributed System Platform services, collaborating with NYISO to implement new energy markets for distributed resources. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics–mathematics from Columbia University and a master’s degree in data science from Harvard University.
Julie Rogers: Julie is a PCI Enterprise Solutions group director focused on the Transmission and Reliability division. Before joining Solutions, Julie directed the Energy Accounting product team. She led product development and customer success for the Energy Accounting solution during this time. In addition, Julie has led multiple EUCI-sponsored courses for practicing professionals in the energy field. She holds a bachelor of science in computer science from Missouri Southern State University and a master of science in instructional design.Â
Suiyi Su: Suiyi joined PCI Energy Solutions in 2012 and is currently the senior director and product owner of PCI’s transmission solutions. Suiyi and his team design, implement, deploy, and maintain a series of applications including E-tag, Energy Accounting and Transmission Billing, and Transmission Operations. He is actively involved in the R&D of transmission solutions and leads the business development of PCI’s product lines in the transmission and reliability area. Before joining PCI, Suiyi received his master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida.Â
