First and foremost, I hope you all made it safely home after an incredible week.
Hosting INFOCUS 2026 in the historic and beautiful city of Charleston was an absolute privilege, but what truly made the event special was the energy you brought to it. Standing on the stage and looking out at over 300 customers, partners, and industry leaders, I was reminded of just how unique the PCI community really is.
Our theme this year was Synergy in Action. We talked about how, in an era of unprecedented grid constraints and rapid load growth, digital efficiency has become our ultimate currency. Finding that efficiency requires a profound connection between our systems, our technology, and our people. Over the course of three days, I saw that concept come to life in our breakout rooms, panel discussions, and hallway conversations.
We saw Platform Synergy in real-world practice. We explored the stark contrast between the nightmare of disjointed point solutions — with their tangled integration webs, high latency, and manual handoffs — and the transformative power of a unified platform. By consolidating operations into the cohesive PCI Platform, we saw how organizations are actively breaking down silos, eliminating manual error points, and saving thousands of hours.
We also saw Human & AI Synergy move from a buzzword to a daily reality. For over 30 years, PCI has proudly served as your trusted System of Record, Logic, and Work. Today, we are rapidly evolving into your System of Context and AI.
This transition is powered by PCI Insights, our modern data Lakehouse that serves as the essential, AI-ready foundation. Clean, unified data is what makes new agentic capabilities possible. We saw how AI copilots are stepping in not to replace human expertise, but to supercharge it — drastically lowering the cognitive load of our traders and operators so they can focus on high-value, strategic decisions. Most importantly, we demonstrated how the PCI platform provides the transaction-safe chassis and strict deterministic guardrails required to deploy these AI agents safely in the highly regulated wholesale power industry.
Finally, we witnessed Community Synergy. The PCI user community is incredibly powerful because you are all connected — not just by our software, but by the physical grid and the RTOs. Watching the proactive collaboration happening around the emerging Western Markets and complex regulatory shifts was a highlight for me. Your willingness to navigate these seams together and share your roadmaps, challenges, and solutions is what moves this entire industry forward.
I want you to know that the conversations don’t stop when the conference ends. This week, back in Norman, the entire PCI team is gathering for a comprehensive debrief. We are opening our notebooks, sharing the feedback and product ideas we gathered from you, and outlining exactly how we are going to act on them. I personally walked away with a fantastic list of ideas to further enhance our platform, and we are already looking at how to set the bar even higher for next year.
Before I sign off, I want to remind you of the “homework” I gave you during our wrap-up session on Thursday.
What is the one thing you are taking with you?
Whether it is a new strategy for managing your data foundation, a plan to eliminate a siloed point solution, or a fresh perspective on AI governance, don’t let those ideas stay in Charleston. Take them back to your team, put them into action on Monday morning, and keep the momentum going.
