About Presenters
Arun Devarakonda joined PCI in 2012 and serves as the senior director for Asset Operations. With expertise in both Generation and Transmission solutions, Arun has led successful implementations across multiple ISOs in North America and international markets. He holds an MBA in IT and international business, along with a bachelor’s degree in information and communication technology.
Debbie Manning joined Versant Power in 1988 and serves as Senior Transmission Planning Engineer. With extensive experience across transmission and distribution protection, substation design, and system planning, she has supported generator interconnections and led studies on the impact of renewable integration into Maine’s grid. Debbie is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Maine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine and a Master of Science in Power System Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Jason Smith joined Santee Cooper in 2015 and currently serves as Manager of System Operations Planning. With more than a decade of experience across transmission, SCADA/EMS engineering, and system protection, Jason has led initiatives to strengthen grid reliability, optimize operational planning, and support compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds an MBA from The Citadel, along with a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering.
